The SILENT NIGHT SING-IN returns to The Kimmel Center. Join composer JOHN CONAHAN and thousands of voices for this unique event of singing, connection, and holiday spirit! In 2018, the beloved and ubiquitous “Silent Night” celebrated it’s 200th birthday since it’s premiere performance in a little church in Oberndorf bei Salzburg. To mark the occasion, Philadelphia composer and conductor John Conahan wrote a brand new arrangement of the carol and invited the entire city to join him in singing it in Commonwealth Plaza at The Kimmel Center. Annually, thousands of voices have come together to share in this truly unique and heart-warming tradition - and this year we want to invite YOU! John has provided free sheet music, learning files, and helpful videos to prepare singers of all abilities! Whether you sing in a choir or in the shower, your voice can join in! Come out on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15th to join John and a magnificent chorus of your fellow Philadelphians to be a part of the SILENT NIGHT SING-IN. The event is free, fun, festive, and for everyone!
