Overview

Join us for a unique, hands-on experience making Combat Paper! Through papermaking workshops with instructors from Combat Paper, a national group that specializes in making handmade paper from military uniforms, Veterans use their uniforms worn in service to create works of art. The uniforms are cut up, beaten into a pulp, and formed into sheets of paper. Participants use the transformative process of papermaking to reclaim these uniforms as art and express their experiences with the military. The paper created during this workshop will be used to print the writings and poetry of local Veterans.

This free, inspiring community outreach event is free and part of a larger project called Holding It Down: The Veterans Dreams Project. LEARN MORE
