The Broadway Dreams Foundation brings Broadway to Philadelphia for one night only with Let the Sun Shine In, an explosive, star-studded Broadway concert event. Featuring musical performances from Philadelphia's own Mark Indelicato (star of ABC's "Ugly Betty"), Broadway favorites including Paul Canaan (Legally Blonde), Eden Espinosa (Wicked) and Billy Porter (Miss Saigon, Grease) along with talented area youth, Let the Sun Shine In is sure to have you dreaming of the bright lights of Broadway for weeks to come.

Broadway Dreams is the premiere workshop for anyone who aspires to succeed on Broadway. Featured on NBC, FOX, and UPN Television, this intensive experience brings Broadway stars around the globe to train other actors who have their sights set on the Great White Way.

There is nowhere else where you have this kind of access to Broadway’s elite. Individual instruction includes:

  • Acting
  • Vocal performance & song selection
  • Theatre dance
This year's faculty includes:
Billy Porter (Grease, Miss Saigon), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Paul Canaan (MTV Legally Blonde), Jeremy Schonfeld (Composer, 37 Notebooks), Dave Barrus (Celebrity Vocal Coach), Amanda Guettel (Urinetown, Sweet Charity), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening), Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Carlos L. Encinias Mamma Mia, Altar Boyz), Annette Tanner (Celebrity Photographer), and Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty).

During the course of the week students attend educational classes which include perfecting their audition skills, vocal coaching, pop stylings, song selection, how to cold read, career planning, college prep, dance, pictures and resume writing.

They also practice and prepare for a revue style show at the end of the week performing alongside the Broadway faculty for “One Night Only.” This concert is so much more than just a show; during the rehearsal period students see first hand the dedication and talent required to pull off a show of this magnitude in just 4 short days!

Broadway Dreams brings casting professionals from NY and invites local agents and casting directors to the show. The day after the event the students all audition, with the skills they have acquired, for the “panel” and attend fun, student’s choice Q & As with the faculty and classes of their choice.

Each student’s “track” is an individual placement to provide the best possible learning experience. Students also receive resume credit along side a favorite Broadway star. The preparation and evaluation of each student is unprecedented in summer theater programs.

The cost is $1095 per student; early registration discounts are offered.
