Audition Procedures
All applicants will audition in all three genres: vocal, dance, and acting

The purpose is to evaluate your ability in all three skills and the ability to respond to direction. Your strength may be in one area and less in another. This should not discourage you from applying.

Vocal: You will be asked to sing 32 measures of a song of your choice from a legitimate Broadway production. In addition, you will perform a solo and in an ensemble from a musical.

Acting: Prepare a 45 second monologue or speech from a play. You will also be required to read an excerpt of a script selected by the audition committee. Applicants must be familiar with improvisation. A link demonstrating monologue technique has been provided.

Dance: Please be prepared to learn and execute new choreography on the spot taught by the program's dance instructor. You will need to wear loose clothing for movement. Bring jazz shoes, if possible. NO JEANS or inappropriate clothing.

Dance-Only: Please be prepared to learn and demonstrate more advance technique and choreography taught by the program’s dance instructor. Appropriate dance attire is necessary. Please have jazz shoes if possible.
