
Production Manager, Kimmel Center:
Summary:
The Production Manager oversees production operations for events in all performance venues and ancillary spaces of The Kimmel Center.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise backstage operations
- Responsible for effective intake of event information
- Preparation of cost estimates
- Coordinate space, equipment, and stage labor needs for rental clients and Kimmel Center events
- Liaison with presenters and resident companies
- Understand and administer IATSE and Teamster CBA’s
- Performance and rehearsal coverage
- Refined production, administrative and organizational skills
- The ability to interact effectively with, and clearly communicate information to, a wide range of persons both within the organization and without
- The ability to attend to numerous projects concurrently, establish priorities, and respond positively, effectively and quickly to continually shifting priorities and needs.
- Experience in IATSE houses required
- Experience with multi-venue operations
Bachelor’s degree in technical theater or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Standing, sitting, walking, occasional climbing, and work in confined spaces.
- Indoors, in multiple performance spaces.
