Facility Sales Internship

The Facility Sales department intern will work closely with the Facility Sales department staff to increase rental bookings, process rental inquiries and provide outstanding service to clients. He or she will gain knowledge about how to work with clients, plan events in a major performing arts venue and analyze budgets and cost estimates in a sales department with $10 million in annual billings. He or she will learn about the relationship between resident companies and performance venues, the operational elements of an arts center and the effectiveness of various sales and marketing strategies in the Philadelphia region.

Specific duties will include:
Accompanying sales managers during client meetings; filing and copying contracts and event paperwork; providing administrative and clerical support to the four-person sales department; proofing advertising materials; setting up meetings with clients; fulfilling client requests for sales materials and managing sales kit inventory; and drafting cover letters for contracts and invoices.

This internship is accompanied by a modest transportation stipend and reports to the Vice President of Facility Sales. The internship runs from mid-January through Memorial Day Weekend. The successful applicant will have exceptional written and verbal skills, the ability to be self-sufficient and manage time independently, adaptability, and a well-developed sense of humor.
